Bradley Leonard Kearse (June 19, 1965 – October 11, 2015) was a native of Somerset County and a proud resident of Manokin, Maryland. Known lovingly as “Brads” or “Trustee,” Bradley was a devoted husband, father, and man of faith whose presence brought warmth and joy to those around him.
Educated at Westover Elementary School and Washington High School, Bradley worked as a skilled sheet metalist with Alston Cox Mechanical until an injury changed his path. His faith remained central throughout his life. He was a faithful member of Jesus Is Lord Church of Deliverance in Georgetown, Delaware, where he served in many roles, including trustee, choir member, chef, and driver. Music was close to his heart, especially the song “My Soul’s Been Anchored.”
Bradley loved fishing, cooking—especially his famous chicken and fish—singing at all hours, building projects, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. In 2008, he married the love of his life, Keiyana Smith-Kearse, and together they raised seven children. Bradley is remembered for his unwavering faith, deep love for his family, and the joy he shared so freely. His legacy continues to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
