Earl Curtis Jordan was a treasured member of the Princess Anne community in Somerset County, Maryland, known for his decades of service, entrepreneurship, and personal connection to neighbors across the region. For more than 50 years, he operated a mobile grocery store and snowball truck, bringing food, snacks, and friendly conversation to streets and neighborhoods throughout Princess Anne.
His work met daily needs, fostered connection, and brought joy to residents of all ages.
In recognition of his longstanding contribution to community life and his role as a local leader and friend to many, the Princess Anne Town Commissioners unanimously approved renaming the park on South Beckford Avenue as Earl Jordan Park. This community space now serves as a lasting tribute to his legacy — a place where families and children can gather, play, and create memories in the spirit of connection and service that Earl Jordan embodied.
